In That Fight

In that fight, they fight for us,

Every step they take, is done in trust,

They push past their fears and leave their homes,

To fight with might, for their friends and foes,

In that fight, they miss so much,

Though it hurts right now, they keep in touch,

While days fly by, and teeth get pulled,

The things soldiers miss, are the stories to be told,

In that fight, they make real pals,

Friends for life, both boys and gals,

Side by side, they fight and live,

And by some, their lives, they give,

In that fight, they gave their lives,

They leave behind kids, husbands, and wives,

In this fight, they gain their rest,

AND TO ALL OUR SOLDIERS, you are the BEST!
